When I was about six years old, I would sing my heart out to this tune blaring on the radio in my mom’s late-eighties Honda Accord. It was an absolute highlight of Christmastime. Sadly, it doesn’t have the same impact on me today but the season just isn’t complete without this classic. Enjoy The Boss’ (I’m from Jersey so I’m allowed to say that) rendition recorded live in 1975.

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town…

He’s making a list
He’s checking it twice
He’s gonna find out who’s naughty or nice
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good
You better good for goodness’ sake!
